How did it get to May already?? We have 23° temperatures, thunderstorms, and nights of seeing the amazing aurora borealis - countrywide!
So having had to bow out of one craft and food fair this month due to chocolate melting temperatures (but being fully stocked with not much to do) I decided to have a bash (excuse the pun) at making honeycomb ..
So .. I bought a big shiny confectionery thermometer and prepared to do battle with VERY HOT sugar!
Well I mean it's only sugar, golden syrup and bicarbonate of soda - how hard can it be? It was hard, believe me .. But so satisfying and stress busting to smash it all to bits and dip it into freshly hand tempered Belgian chocolate! (So satisfying that I had to make it three times - ok four because one got too hot - and then make both milk and dark chocolate versions) I think it will become a permanent part of my range.
On top of making yummy honeycomb, I've also made LOTS of PRICE REDUCTIONS across the range - except for bars, which have their own permanent special offer.
